With winter around the corner it's important to consider the problems that it brings for your plants. Here are a few jobs you can carry to counter thw winter season to keep your plants hapy and healthy this winter.
Protect any sowings and crops still in the ground from any mice.
Using cloches, netting or fleece will protect brassicas from pigeons.
Get rid of any yellowed leaves on Brussels sprouts and other brassicas. This will stop grey mould and brassica downy mildew from developing
Remove all plant debris from the vegetable plot and remember to not compost any diseased material.
With stored fruits and nuts deal with any damage thay may have been caused by rodents.
Clean out your stored fruit by removing any rotten or rotting fruit.
